Pre-departure Briefing

It is natural for first-time overseas travellers to be anxious at the airport, from check-in to immigration clearance, all the way to finally settling in.

In order to alleviate some of their burden and anxiety, we provide our students with a customised “Pre-departure Briefing” for each country. It helps them avoid any problems during transit until they reach their final destination.

Besides the list of essential documents required to be carried on hand, the briefing includes information on the items to be packed, the amount of luggage permitted, the clothing to be worn according to their destination, and other relevant information.

Things to Carry

Indian students often overload themselves with extra baggage by carrying items that aren’t necessary. Institutions’ dress codes are informal, so we should prepare accordingly.

You must pack the necessary medicines as only some medications are available with a prescription. Arrange some heavy winter clothes as the ones we wear in India may not be effective in the country you travel to.

GoStudyOverseas provides a handy checklist for items to carry based on the country before you leave the country.
