The Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) requirement is not designed to prevent students who, after studying in Australia, gain the skills that Australia requires and then apply for permanent residence.

Apply For Visa Online

Create an account on the Department of Home Affairs’ ImmiAccount online application system. Fill up the details and submit your visa application. You can check the status of your visa application from your ImmiAccount. The visa fee is A$620.

The application must be submitted no later than six weeks before your course commences and no earlier than 12 weeks.

Medical Examination

You may be asked to have medical tests. If so, you will be given a list of tests you have to go through and an identifier called HAP ID.
