You aren’t eligible for a PGWP if your program is less than eight months.
If your program is at least eight months but less than two years, you can get a PSW valid for up to the same length as your study program.
For instance, if you complete a nine-month program, you are eligible for a work permit for up to 9 months.
You can get a valid PSW for three years if your program is two years or more.

For a Canadian student visa, one must score a min 5.5 in each of the four IELTS bands and a minimum overall score of 6.0. for Diploma and Undergraduate programs. If you want to apply for a Master’s program, you must have an overall score of 6.5 or above and a minimum 6.0 IELTS score in each band. It’s important to note that the minimum IELTS score is 7.0 overall and per band for Engineering, Teaching or Education Studies related programs.
Besides IELTS, a minimum GMAT score of 660 is required for admission to an MBA program. If you want to pursue a medical-related course, you require a minimum MCAT score of 490-500.
Application fees for Canada range between C$95-C$125.
Arrange the ‘Letter of Acceptance (LOA)’ from the university.
The fund for living expenses should be in the account for at least the last 28 days. You must show C$10,000 as living expenses for 12 months in your bank account. For Quebec, your bank account should have C$11,000 as living expenses. Besides these living expenses, the amount for your return ticket should also be kept in your account.
Passport, University Letter of Acceptance (LOA), Letter of Explanation (LOE), Guaranteed Investment Certificate (GIC) from a participating bank like Scotia Bank, 1 Photo, IELTS, Sponsorship Letter Affidavit, Birth Certificate, Police Clearance Certificate (PCC), Medical Certificate, additional Coalition Avenir Québec (CAQ) for Quebec.
Complete and submit your visa application online on the CIC website. The visa fee is C$150.

Generally, there is no visa interview for a study visa in Canada. Sometimes, a student may be called for an interview if the visa officer decides the same. Nevertheless, a medical test is mandatory for a student visa in Canada.
